All users please update to core version 0.22.1.0. The link to the latest core can be found here.

The Ghost blockchain underwent a hardfork last Saturday at block height 591621. This hardfork officially implemented the AGVR protocol, kicking of its initiation phase. The observed harfork went smooth and the network quickly saw old clients upgrade to the new core. However, after about 10 hours from the initial hardfork, certain nodes began experiencing issues. Our developers were closely monitoring the situation and began work on a hotfix.

About 6 hours from the initial crash of some clients, the team had resolved the issue and deployed the HotFix. The issue was found to be related to the count of tracked transactions when anon outputs/inputs are present. To put it simply, the chainstate was encountering a validation issue with anon transactions.

Included in this HotFix is the underlying solution to certain nodes crashing with the previous core (v0.22.0.0), and a fix to the rpc — wallet. An improvement was made to the rpc command getblockreward when involving stealth addresses.

We will still monitor the chain for any errors or crashes as part of our normal responsibilities. The blockchain has already observed several anon transactions, including those with 32 ring signatures and all is well. Again, all users please update ASAP!
